How we treat Anxiety Symptoms and related Anxiety Disorders, and Depression
Anxiety and other anxiety disorders like panic, GAD, OCD and PTSD, and feelings of depression and low mood can be treated using Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness techniques, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT).
Both Imogen and Annette are accredited CBT therapists with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). Annette is a trained EMDR therapist and has experience in using IPT. As clinical psychologists their evidence-based, integrative training means that they have also been trained in the application of other approaches including ACT and mindfulness. Their training and experience in multiple approaches means they can use a variety of different therapies and techniques to offer the best approach for your concerns.
Initial assessment appointments are focused on hearing your concerns and current experiences and symptoms. Once your initial story has been shared, the next step is, in collaboration with you. developing an approach based on which intervention or integration of interventions may work best to address these.
